Debra Engel,  Co-Chairman

Debra EngelDebra is a director and adviser to a number of organizations in Silicon Valley. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Center for Excellence in Nonprofits, the Entrepreneur's Foundation, the Institute for the Future, the Valley Medical Foundation, the National Academy of Human Resources Foundation and the Board of Trustees for Facing History and Ourselves. Debra is on the advisory boards for nGenera and the Jacksonhole Group. Debra is also a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum and an emeritus member of the California Strategic Human Resource Partnership.

Previous for profit board affiliations include Aspect Communications, Memestreams, Beyondwork, Onsite Dental and the Concoursgroup. Advisory board membership included Kadiri, Icarian, CRI, Advanced HR, GPT3, Guru, Brassring, Clickhome and ITM Software.

Previous not for profit board affiliations include Community Foundation Silicon Valley, eBay Foundation, the Healthtrust, the Skoll Fund, Society of Human Resource Management Foundation, American Leadership Forum, Career Action Center, Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence, and the Santa Clara University Business School.

Debra served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Services for 3Com until August, 1998. Prior to joining 3Com in November of 1983, Debra served as Corporate Staffing Manager for Hewlett Packard and as HR manager for HP's Avondale division. Debra holds a Master of Science Degree in Industrial Relations from Iowa State University.

Honors include recognition by the Association of Fundraising Professionals as the Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser, 2002, induction into the National Academy of Human Resources, 2001, and induction into the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame, 2000.

Larry Orr, Trinity Ventures — Co-Chairman

Larry OrrLarry Orr is a general partner of Trinity Ventures, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm founded in 1986 and focused on building leading-edge information technology companies.

In addition to serving as board chair for Entrepreneurs Foundation, Larry is an investor and active member of the Board of Directors for mSpot, Perfect Market, Skyfire and Vimo in the Trinity portfolio. Throughout his career at Trinity, he has invested in numerous successful technology companies including Aruba Networks (IPO), BackWeb (IPO), Bix (acquired by Yahoo), Crescendo (acquired by Cisco), Digital Market (acquired by Agile Software), Extreme Networks (IPO), Forte Software (IPO), MetaReward (acquired by Experian), Net Effect Systems (acquired by Ask Jeeves), Network Alchemy (acquired by Nokia) and Wall Data (IPO).  

Prior to joining Trinity in 1989, Larry held various marketing and management positions with Hewlett-Packard's Information Network Group. Earlier in his career, he worked with New York investment firm Niederhoffer, Cross and Zeckhauser on mergers and acquisitions, and with Bain & Company, a leading management consulting firm.

Larry is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Harvard University where he majored in mathematics. He is a 1982 MBA graduate of the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar and earned the Deloitte, Haskins and Sells award as the top accounting student.

Richard Boyle, LoopNet

Richard  BoyleAs CEO and Chairman, Richard Boyle guides LoopNet's strategic direction.

Boyle joined LoopNet in 1999 as Vice President and was in charge of product and technology development and operations. He was promoted to President and CEO in 2001 and led the company to profitability and a successful initial public offering. After reaching annual revenues exceeding $70 million in 2007, Boyle continues to focus on LoopNet growth in his current role as Chief Executive Officer.

Boyle has spent over 18 years working for software and information services businesses. Prior to joining LoopNet, he was Senior Vice President of Products and Technology at Risk Management Solutions, the market leader in catastrophic risk management for insurers and other financial institutions. His experience also includes various positions in other software and information services businesses, including both engineering and management roles.

Boyle holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Suzanne DiBianca, Salesforce.com Foundation

Suzanne DiBiancaSuzanne is the executive director and co-founder of the Salesforce.com Foundation. In this role, Suzanne directs all Foundation activities and serves as the liaison to community, business, and government organizations. Under her leadership, the Foundation has grown to serve as a successful model for a new breed of corporate social responsibility through its innovative 1/1/1 Model, where 1% of the company's time, product and equity are given back to the community. Through Suzanne's guidance, two books have been published by the Foundation's Chairman Marc Benioff: The Business of Changing the World (2006), in which 20 great leaders reveal how businesses can leverage the full scope of their resources to make a difference, and Compassionate Capitalism, the first-ever best-practices guide for corporate philanthropy that illustrates the success of the integrated model.

Suzanne is a recognized leader in the area of integrated corporate philanthropy. The Foundation's success under Suzanne's leadership has been recognized with a number of awards for excellence in philanthropy including: the 2002 Points of Light Award for Excellence in Corporate Community Service; the 2003 U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Corporate Stewardship Award; a Codie Award for Excellence in Giving (2006) and the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy's Excellence in Corporate Philanthropy Award (2007).

Before founding the Salesforce.com Foundation, Suzanne was a Principal at CSC Consulting Group in the Strategic Services Division. In this role, she worked with leaders in Fortune 500 companies to assist them in developing strategies for improved organizational performance and enhanced leadership capabilities. Prior to this, Suzanne was the program and marketing director for Partners for Democratic Change, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide skills for effective conflict management and alternative dispute resolution to NGOs and government officials in Central and Eastern Europe. In this role, she directed program and grants management activities and marketing events for the company.

Suzanne has served on a number of Boards and advisory councils in the community including: San Francisco School Volunteers, the World Affairs Council's Global Philanthropy Forum; and the Business Advisory Council to SFUSD. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado, at Boulder with a BA in Communications and Economics.

David Ladd, Mayfield Fund

David LaddDavid is a Venture Partner with Mayfield Fund.  He is a successful former entrepreneur, and represents Mayfield on the boards of Casabi, Inphi, Pixim, T-RAM, TimeBridge and WaveSplitter. David's notable past investments include Orative and Pure Networks (acquired by Cisco), Excess Bandwidth (acquired by Virata), and LGC Wireless (acquired by ADC Telecommunications).

David started his career at Bell Labs in New Jersey.  He returned to California and was an early engineer at ROLM Corporation. After eight years at ROLM, he co-founded voice messaging company Opcom/VMX, which grew to a $100 million publicly held company. In 1994, VMX merged with Octel Communications and David became CTO. After Lucent Technologies acquired Octel in 1997, David joined Mayfield part-time while continuing to help Lucent form spin-out companies based on Bell Labs technology. David joined Mayfield full-time in May 1999.

David holds a B.S. degree in Engineering Physics from U.C. Berkeley and an M.S. in Math/Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology.

He is an avid sailor and can be found frequently on his boat in the San Francisco Bay.

Gib Myers, Mayfield Fund

Gib MyersGib Myers is emeritus partner of Mayfield, a private venture capital partnership located in Menlo Park, California and has been a Mayfield general partner since 1970. Prior to joining Mayfield, Gib worked for Hewlett-Packard for four years as manager of computer systems and later as manager of interdivisional sales. He earned an A.B. degree in Engineering Science from Dartmouth College in 1964 and a M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1966.

Gib is the founder of the Entrepreneurs Foundation (EF), a national organization dedicated to designing, executing and enhancing corporate citizenship and philanthropic efforts of high growth companies so that new and leveraged resources are generated for community benefit.

Gib is Chairman of the American Prairie Foundation, a non-profit developing a huge wildlife preserve in Eastern Montana. He is a co-founder of the Center for Social Innovation at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a past member of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Advisory Board.

Gib and his wife, Susan, live in Atherton and have two sons and a daughter.

Diane Solinger, Entrepreneuers Foundation

Diane SolingerDiane Solinger is the Executive Director of Entrepreneurs Foundation. Since joining Entrepreneurs Foundation in 1999 she has greatly expanded the Foundation's regional and national presence as a leader in corporate philanthropy and corporate community involvement.  As Executive Director, Ms. Solinger oversees all organizational strategy, operations, new business development, program delivery and affiliate relations.

Ms. Solinger has over 20 years of non-profit leadership experience. Prior to joining Entrepreneurs Foundation, Ms. Solinger served as Executive Director of the American Heart Association, Silicon Valley.  There she developed innovative programs aimed at reducing heart disease and stroke in key underserved populations and doubled regional income to support AHA's research and programs. She has also held positions with the University of Colorado Foundation, the American Cancer Society and the United Way of the Bay Area.

Ms. Solinger received her bachelor's degree in English from the University of Colorado at Boulder, spending one year at the University of Bordeaux in Bordeaux, France. She is also a graduate of Stanford University's Graduate School of Business Executive Program for Non Profit Leaders and is a senior fellow of the American Leadership Forum, Silicon Valley.

Ian Sugarbroad

Ian SugarbroadIn 2009 Ian became an independent telecommunications consultant, prior to that he was a Vice-President at ADC Telecommunications following their acquisition of LGC Wireless Inc. for $169 million in November 2007 where Ian was President & CEO. Previously Ian was President & COO of interWAVE Communications Int'l Ltd., a GSM and CDMA equipment manufacturer. In that role, he led interWAVE's NASDAQ IPO in 2000, raising $120 million, and subsequently acquired a number of private companies to broaden the product line and market reach. Earlier in his 30 plus year career, Ian spent 23 years at Nortel Networks, playing key executive roles in a number of business units, including 10 years in the Wireless Group, where he was VP, Business Development. Ian holds a B.S. in Physics from the University of London, and an M.S. in Physics and MBA from the University of Western Ontario. Ian also sits on the boards of IB Wave Inc. and Cellvine Ltd..

Marc Verissimo, SVB Financial Group

Marc  VerissimoMarc Verissimo is the chief strategy and risk officer for SVB Financial Group, responsible for the company's strategy, corporate development, and enterprise wide risk management. In this capacity, Verissimo oversees the strategic planning service, corporate development group and the enterprise wide risk management group. Verissimo is also a voting member of Silicon Valley Bank's senior loan committee.

Verissimo joined Silicon Valley Bank in 1993 as team leader for the Palo Alto Technology Group. He was quickly promoted to division manager for Northern California and became division manager for all of the California lending groups in 1996. From 1999 to 2002, Verissimo served SVB in several capacities, including two periods as interim chief financial officer. Verissimo also oversaw SVB Global and the expansion of overseas branches and the startup of SVB Analytics.

Before joining Silicon Valley Bank, Verissimo was the manager of Comerica Bank's Technology Lending Group. Earlier in his career, he worked with First Interstate Bank as a loan team manager. Verissimo's banking career began with Bank of America, where he was a vice president and lending officer. Verissimo serves on the board of directors of the Entrepreneurs Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the ties between entrepreneurial companies in the Bay Area and the communities in which they operate.

Verissimo earned a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics from the University of California, Davis, and a master's degree in business administration from Harvard Business School.
