Debra Engel,  Co-Chairman

Debra EngelDebra is a director and adviser to a number of organizations in Silicon Valley. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Entrepreneur's Foundation, the Institute for the Future, the Valley Medical Foundation, the National Academy of Human Resources Foundation and the Board of Trustees for Facing History and Ourselves. Debra is on the advisory boards for Healthiest You, Upmo, nGenera, PearlHPS and the Jacksonhole Group. Debra is also a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum and an emeritus member of the California Strategic Human Resource Partnership.

Previous for profit board affiliations include Aspect Communications, Memestreams, Beyondwork, Onsite Dental and the Concoursgroup. Advisory board membership included Kadiri, Icarian, CRI, Advanced HR, GPT3, Guru, Brassring, Clickhome and ITM Software.

Previous not for profit board affiliations include Community Foundation Silicon Valley, eBay Foundation, the Healthtrust, the Skoll Fund, Society of Human Resource Management Foundation, American Leadership Forum, Career Action Center, Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence, and the Santa Clara University Business School.

Debra served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Services for 3Com until August, 1998. Prior to joining 3Com in November of 1983, Debra served as Corporate Staffing Manager for Hewlett Packard and as HR manager for HP's Avondale division. Debra holds a Master of Science Degree in Industrial Relations from Iowa State University.

Honors include recognition by the Association of Fundraising Professionals as the Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser, 2002, induction into the National Academy of Human Resources, 2001, and induction into the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame, 2000.

Larry Orr, Trinity Ventures, Co-Chairman

Larry OrrLarry Orr is a general partner of Trinity Ventures, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm founded in 1986 and focused on building leading-edge information technology companies.

In addition to serving as board chair for Entrepreneurs Foundation, Larry is an investor and active member of the Board of Directors for Focus Research, Gridiron Systems, mSpot, Perfect Market, RiverMuse, ShopIgniter, Skyfire and Vimo in the Trinity portfolio. Throughout his career at Trinity, he has invested in numerous successful technology companies including Aruba Networks (IPO), BackWeb (IPO), Bix (acquired by Yahoo), Crescendo (acquired by Cisco), Digital Market (acquired by Agile Software), Extreme Networks (IPO), Forte Software (IPO), MetaReward (acquired by Experian), Net Effect Systems (acquired by Ask Jeeves), Network Alchemy (acquired by Nokia) and Wall Data (IPO).  

Prior to joining Trinity in 1989, Larry held various marketing and management positions with Hewlett-Packard's Information Network Group. Earlier in his career, he worked with New York investment firm Niederhoffer, Cross and Zeckhauser on mergers and acquisitions, and with Bain & Company, a leading management consulting firm.

Larry is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Harvard University where he majored in mathematics. He is a 1982 MBA graduate of the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar and earned the Deloitte, Haskins and Sells award as the top accounting student.

Bob Blee, Silicon Valley Bank

Bob BleeBob Blee is the region manager for Silicon Valley Bank's Northern California region. In this role, Blee is responsible for the company's early stage and middle-market technology teams in Silicon Valley and San Francisco, which provide commercial banking services to more than half of all venture capital-backed companies, and a large number of non-venture backed companies, throughout the region.

Previously, Blee was SVB's Midwest market manager, leading teams in Chicago and Minneapolis responsible for the company's market presence throughout 11 Midwestern states.

Blee began a career in commercial banking more than 20 years ago and mid-way through that time took a break from banking to start a technology company. Prior to joining Silicon Valley Bank in 2003, Blee co-founded The Savo Group, a Chicago-based provider of hosted sales enablement software and services. Before Savo, Blee spent nine years as a commercial lender and manager at Comerica and LaSalle Banks in Chicago.

While based in SVB's Chicago office, Blee was an active board member of the Illinois Technology Association and the TechAmerica Midwest chapter. He was also a charter member of TiE Midwest and active in the Illinois Venture Capital Association and Midwest Governors Association. An alumnus of the University of Illinois in Urbana, Blee is a board member of Illinois' College of Business Alumni Association.

Sheila Bonini, McKinsey & Company

Sheila Bonini Sheila Bonini is a Senior Expert Consultant in McKinsey & Company, Inc.'s Silicon Valley office. Sheila has been with McKinsey & Co for over 12 years and currently co-leads the Sustainable Enterprise service line within McKinsey's Sustainability and Resource Productivity Practice. Her work focuses on the linkages between social and environmental impact and financial value creation. Sheila serves clients across industry sectors on a broad range of Sustainability and CSR topics. She has lead key collaborations with organizations such as the UN Global Compact, the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship, the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy, the World Economic Forum, and the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, among others.

Sheila makes frequent public speaking appearances and writes extensively on Sustainability and CSR. She previously worked with the Hewlett Foundation and Stanford's Center for Social Innovation and prior to joining McKinsey, she worked in the Investment Banking divisions of Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs. Sheila received an AB degree in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. She is an active swimmer and yoga enthusiast and mother of a middle school student at the International School of the Peninsula.

Richard Boyle, LoopNet

Richard  BoyleAs CEO and Chairman, Richard Boyle guides LoopNet's strategic direction.

Boyle joined LoopNet in 1999 as Vice President and was in charge of product and technology development and operations. He was promoted to President and CEO in 2001 and led the company to profitability and a successful initial public offering. After reaching annual revenues exceeding $70 million in 2007, Boyle continues to focus on LoopNet growth in his current role as Chief Executive Officer.

Boyle has spent over 18 years working for software and information services businesses. Prior to joining LoopNet, he was Senior Vice President of Products and Technology at Risk Management Solutions, the market leader in catastrophic risk management for insurers and other financial institutions. His experience also includes various positions in other software and information services businesses, including both engineering and management roles.

Boyle holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Suzanne DiBianca, Salesforce.com Foundation

Suzanne DiBiancaSuzanne is the executive director and co-founder of the Salesforce.com Foundation. In this role, Suzanne directs all Foundation activities and serves as the liaison to community, business, and government organizations. Under her leadership, the Foundation has grown to serve as a successful model for a new breed of corporate social responsibility through its innovative 1/1/1 Model, where 1% of the company's time, product and equity are given back to the community. Through Suzanne's guidance, two books have been published by the Foundation's Chairman Marc Benioff: The Business of Changing the World (2006), in which 20 great leaders reveal how businesses can leverage the full scope of their resources to make a difference, and Compassionate Capitalism, the first-ever best-practices guide for corporate philanthropy that illustrates the success of the integrated model.

Suzanne is a recognized leader in the area of integrated corporate philanthropy. The Foundation's success under Suzanne's leadership has been recognized with a number of awards for excellence in philanthropy including: the 2002 Points of Light Award for Excellence in Corporate Community Service; the 2003 U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Corporate Stewardship Award; a Codie Award for Excellence in Giving (2006) and the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy's Excellence in Corporate Philanthropy Award (2007).

Before founding the Salesforce.com Foundation, Suzanne was a Principal at CSC Consulting Group in the Strategic Services Division. In this role, she worked with leaders in Fortune 500 companies to assist them in developing strategies for improved organizational performance and enhanced leadership capabilities. Prior to this, Suzanne was the program and marketing director for Partners for Democratic Change, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide skills for effective conflict management and alternative dispute resolution to NGOs and government officials in Central and Eastern Europe. In this role, she directed program and grants management activities and marketing events for the company.

Suzanne has served on a number of Boards and advisory councils in the community including: San Francisco School Volunteers, the World Affairs Council's Global Philanthropy Forum; and the Business Advisory Council to SFUSD. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado, at Boulder with a BA in Communications and Economics.

Gib Myers, Mayfield Fund

Gib MyersGib Myers is emeritus partner of Mayfield, a private venture capital partnership located in Menlo Park, California and has been a Mayfield general partner since 1970. Prior to joining Mayfield, Gib worked for Hewlett-Packard for four years as manager of computer systems and later as manager of interdivisional sales. He earned an A.B. degree in Engineering Science from Dartmouth College in 1964 and a M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1966.

Gib is the founder of the Entrepreneurs Foundation (EF), a national organization dedicated to designing, executing and enhancing corporate citizenship and philanthropic efforts of high growth companies so that new and leveraged resources are generated for community benefit.

Gib is Chairman of the American Prairie Foundation, a non-profit developing a huge wildlife preserve in Eastern Montana. He is a co-founder of the Center for Social Innovation at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a past member of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Advisory Board.

Gib and his wife, Susan, live in Atherton and have two sons and a daughter.

Diane Solinger, EF

Diane SolingerDiane Solinger joined EF in 1999 and serves as the organization’s Executive Director. In this capacity she oversees organizational strategy, operations and business development and is senior consultant to many of the companies that work with EF.

Diane has over 20 years of non-profit leadership experience. Prior to joining Entrepreneurs Foundation, Diane served as Executive Director of the American Heart Association, Silicon Valley. There she developed innovative programs aimed at reducing heart disease and stroke in key underserved populations and doubled regional income to support AHA's research and programs. She has also held positions with the University of Colorado Foundation, the American Cancer Society and the United Way of the Bay Area.

Diane received her bachelor's degree in English from the University of Colorado at Boulder, spending one year at the University of Bordeaux in Bordeaux, France. She is also a graduate of Stanford University's Graduate School of Business Executive Program for Non Profit Leaders, is a senior fellow of the American Leadership Forum, Silicon Valley and has earned a certificate in Corporate Community Involvement from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.

Diane is a 2010 recipient of a Jefferson Award for Public Service and has been a presenter and member of the Business Track Planning Committee for the National Conference on Volunteering and Service in 2009, 2010 and 2011. She is an avid runner and a mother of two high school teenagers.

Mark Wan, Three Arch Partners
Mark  Wan

Mark is a founding Partner of Three Arch Partners. He started in venture capital in 1987 with Brentwood Associates where he became a General Partner. Mark has been a founder or seed investor in numerous healthcare companies including Epocrates, Odyssey Healthcare, and Perclose.

Sam Zucker, O'Melveny & Myers

Sam Zucker is a partner in O'Melveny's Silicon Valley and New York offices. Sam concentrates on corporate transactions for growth and life sciences companies in the US and overseas. His practice includes mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures, strategic alliances and partnerships, venture capital and private equity financings, international and multi-jurisdictional transactions, public and private securities offerings, and regulatory matters including SEC, Nasdaq, and NYSE rules and regulations. He works extensively with the Firm's international offices on acquisitions, joint ventures, and financings throughout the world. Sam advises his clients' management and boards of directors on corporate governance and critical strategic matters, including acquisitions, corporate development, and capital market strategies as well as general corporate and regulatory issues.
