Bob Ackerman
Bob Ackerman is Managing Director and co-founder of Allegis Capital. Prior to forming Allegis Capital in 1995, Mr. Ackerman had more than fifteen years of general management, venture capital and strategic mergers and acquisition advisory experience working with information technology start-up companies. His operating experience includes the CEO of UniSoft Systems (a world leading UNIX systems house operating in the U.S., Europe and Asia) and founder and Chairman of InfoGear Technology Corporation (the first internet appliance company; acquired by CISCO in 2000).
He currently sits on the Board of Directors of RFco Semiconductors, IronPort Systems, NetCell Corporation and LGC Wireless. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of First Broadcasting Corporation, a broadcast media merchant bank and The Entrepreneur’s Foundation, a non-profit organization in Silicon Valley that develops and facilitates community support programs within the high-technology community. Mr. Ackerman has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.

Richard Boyle
Richard Boyle is President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of LoopNet, Inc. (Nasdaq: LOOP), and in that role guides LoopNet's strategic direction and overall company operations. Boyle joined LoopNet in
1999 as Vice President, and was in charge of product and technology development and operations prior to being named President & CEO in 2001.
Boyle has spent over 18 years working for software and information services businesses. Prior to joining LoopNet, he was Senior Vice President of Products & Technology at Risk Management Solutions, the market leader in catastrophic risk management for insurers and other financial institutions.
His experience also includes various positions in other software and information services businesses, including both engineering and management roles.
Boyle is on the Board of the St. Nicholas School in Los Altos Hills. He is also a member of the Young President's Organization.
Boyle holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Yogen Dalal
Yogen Dalal's successful entrepreneurial and operating experience coupled with leading-edge engineering expertise makes him enormously valuable as a venture capitalist and as a leader of Mayfield. He brings his broad talents to a wide range of primarily early-stage investments in the enterprise software and infrastructure arenas.
He is currently on the boards of BeVocal, Entrepreneurs Foundation, Narus, Nuasis, Packet Design, PacketHop, Perfect Commerce, PostX, and Revenue Science. Some of Yogen Dalal's past portfolio company successes include Arbor Software, Vantive, Nuance, BroadVision, Tibco and Packet Engines. Prior to joining Mayfield, Yogen was a founding member of two successful startups, Claris Corporation and Metaphor Computer Systems. In recognition of his insight and proven successes, Yogen was selected by Forbes Magazine as one of the Midas Top 100 Technology Professionals. He was also a member of the original Star and Ethernet development teams at Xerox and a co-developer of the TCP/IP protocols while at Stanford University.
Yogen is a member of the board of Entrepreneurs Foundation. He also serves on the board of TheatreWorks, a nationally acclaimed professional theater that explores both the unique heritages and shared experiences of the culturally diverse Northern California community.
Yogen earned a PhD. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Stanford and a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.

Debra Engel
Debra Engel is a director and adviser to a number of organizations in Silicon Valley. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Concours Group, and the advisory boards for Advanced-HR, Brassring, Clickhome, Corporate Resource International, ITM Software, the Jackson Hole Group and Kadiri.
Debra also serves the nonprofit community as a Board member for the Community Foundation of SiliconValley, the Center for Excellence in Nonprofits, the eBay Foundation, the Entrepreneur’s Foundation, the Skoll Fund, the Society for Human Resource Management Foundation and Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence. She is a member of the advisory boards for the Center for Innovation at Foothill College and Facing History and Ourselves. Debra is a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum and an Executive Fellow for the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Santa Clara University.
Debra served as Senior Vice President for Corporate Services for 3Com until August, 1998. Prior to joining 3Com in November of 1983, as Vice President, Human Resources, Debra served as Hewlett Packard’s Corporate Staffing Manager and as HR Manager for HP’s Avondale Division. Debra holds a Master of Science Degree in Industrial Relations from Iowa State University.
Recent honors include recognition by the Association of Fundraising Professionals as the Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser, 2002, induction into the National Academy of Human Resources, 2001; and induction into the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame, 2000.

Peter Hero
Peter Hero is a senior advisor to the CEO of Silicon Valley Community Foundation and the former president of Community Foundation Silicon Valley. During his 17-year tenure, Community Foundation Silicon Valley grew from a small foundation with less than $10 million in assets and only three staff to a regional center for philanthropy, with more than 600 philanthropic funds under its umbrella, including 12 supporting foundations and 25 corporate advised funds.
With extensive experience in international community foundation development, Peter has been working since 1996 in Central and Eastern Europe to build a network of community foundations in the region. In recognition of this work, Czech Republic President Vaclav Havel appointed him to the 2002 NATO Summit Council of Advisors in Prague. Peter is a frequent guest lecturer at Stanford business school and his writing on community development and philanthropy has been published in the United States and Europe.
Prior to joining Community Foundation Silicon Valley, Peter was president of the Maine College of Art, a four-year college of art and design and the largest cultural organization in northern New England, and headed the Arts Council for the state of Oregon. Peter holds a master of business administration from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, a master of arts in art history from Williams College, and an honorary doctor of law from the Maine College of Art.

David Ladd With his deep engineering experience and networking expertise, David Ladd serves as Mayfield's communications & VoIP expert.
David, a successful former entrepreneur, sits on the boards of Casabi, Inphi, LV Sensors, Pixim, Pure Networks, Sylantro Systems, T-RAM, TimeBridge and WaveSplitter. David's notable past investments include Orative (acquired by Cisco) and LGC Wireless.
David was an early engineer at ROLM Corporation. After eight years at ROLM, he co-founded voice messaging company Opcom/VMX, which grew to a $100 million publicly held company. In 1994, VMX merged with Octel Communications and David became CTO. After Lucent Technologies acquired Octel in 1997, David joined Mayfield part-time while continuing to help Lucent form spin-out companies based on Bell Labs technology. David joined Mayfield full-time in May 1999.
David holds a B.S. degree in Engineering Physics from U.C. Berkeley and an M.S. in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology.
He is an avid sailor and can be found frequently on his boat in the San Francisco Bay.

Gib Myers
Gib Myers is emeritus partner of Mayfield, a private venture capital partnership located in Menlo Park, California and has been a Mayfield general partner since 1970. Prior to joining Mayfield, Gib worked for Hewlett-Packard for four years as manager of computer systems and later as manager of interdivisional sales. He earned an A.B. degree in Engineering Science from Dartmouth College in 1964 and a M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1966.
Gib is the founder of the Entrepreneurs Foundation (EF), an organization with the mission of channeling the energy, wealth and innovation of the entrepreneurial sector to continuously enhance the quality of the community. In the Bay Area, over 130 companies have joined EF and are actively working with local non-profits. Several other cities in the U.S. are working with EF to adopt this model.
Gib is Chairman of the Prairie Foundation, a non-profit developing a huge wildlife preserve in the high plains of Montana. He is a co-founder of the Center for Social Innovation at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, a member of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Advisory Board and on the Board of the John Gardner Center at Stanford. Gib is a member of the President's Leadership Council of Dartmouth College and an advisor to Community Ventures of Silicon Valley.
Gib and his wife, Susan, live in Atherton and have two sons and a daughter.

Larry Orr
Larry Orr is Managing General Partner of Trinity Ventures, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm founded in 1986 and focused on building leading-edge information technology companies.
Larry has been with Trinity Ventures since 1989, and currently oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm and its strategic investment direction. Larry is also an investor and active member of the Board of Directors for several technology companies within the Trinity portfolio, including 900Seconds, Healthia, Identity Engines, MSpot, Network Physics, and Aruba Wireless Networks (board observer.) Throughout his career at Trinity, he has invested in numerous successful technology companies including BackWeb (IPO), Crescendo (acquired by Cisco), Digital Market (acquired by Agile Software), Extreme Networks (IPO), Forte Software (IPO), MetaReward (acquired by Experian), Net Effect Systems (acquired by Ask Jeeves), Network Alchemy (acquired by Nokia), and Wall Data (IPO). Larry is also a member of the board of directors of Entrepreneurs Foundation, a community non-profit organization.
Prior to joining Trinity, Larry held various marketing and management positions with Hewlett-Packard's Information Network Group. Earlier in his career, Larry worked with New York investment firm Niederhoffer, Cross and Zeckhauser on mergers and acquisitions, and with Bain & Company, a leading management consulting firm.
Larry is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Harvard University where he majored in mathematics. He is a 1982 MBA graduate of the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar and earned the Deloitte, Haskins and Sells award as the top accounting student.

Diane Solinger
Diane Solinger is the Executive Director of Entrepreneurs Foundation. Since joining Entrepreneurs Foundation in 1999, she has held the positions of Director, Corporate Community Involvement and Director, Corporate Participation. She has greatly expanded the Foundation's volunteer involvement through the creation of the Development Council and was instrumental in the development of the Foundation's current Board of Directors. As Executive Director, Ms. Solinger oversees all fund raising, operations, new business development and affiliate relations.
Ms. Solinger has over 17 years of non-profit management experience. Prior to joining Entrepreneurs Foundation, Ms. Solinger served as Executive Director of the American Heart Association, Silicon Valley. She was with the organization for seven years. There she developed and implemented new community health and fund raising programs, launched the Latino Task Force, created the first Stroke Advisory Council for the region, and raised $1.1 million annually from locally organized initiatives. She has also held positions with the University of Colorado Foundation, the American Cancer Society and the United Way of the Bay Area.
Ms. Solinger received her bachelor's degree in English from the University of Colorado at Boulder, spending one year at the University of Bordeaux in Bordeaux, France.
Ms. Solinger is involved with several community organizations including the Community Foundation Silicon Valley’s Advisory Board and the American Heart Association, Silicon Valley.

Marc J. Verissimo
Marc Verissimo has been Silicon Valley Bank's chief strategy and risk management officer since January 2003. In this role, Verissimo manages and coordinates the strategy and risk processes throughout the company and he is a member of the company's Steering Committee. Additionally, Verissimo oversees the Marketing, Credit Administration, Corporate Development, Risk Management, Regulatory and Compliance and Information Services groups.
Previously, Verissimo served as group manager of Silicon Valley Bank's Strategy and Risk Management group. He joined SVB in 1993 as team leader for the Palo Alto Technology Group. He was quickly promoted to division manager for Northern California and became division manager for all of the California lending groups in 1996. From 1999 to 2002, Verissimo served SVB in several capacities, including two periods as interim chief financial officer.
Before joining Silicon Valley Bank, Verissimo was the manager of Comerica Bank's Technology Lending group. Earlier in his career, he worked with First Interstate Bank as a loan team manager. Verissimo's banking career began with Bank of America, where he was a vice president and lending officer.
Verissimo earned a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics from the University of California, Davis, and a master's degree in business administration from Harvard Business School in 1982.

Don Wood
Don Wood is a Managing Director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson, where he leads the global expansion of DFJ's Network Affiliate Funds into new geographic and sector markets. Most recently, Mr. Wood was a General Partner at Vanguard Ventures where he invested in information technology, Internet services, and energy technologies. Mr. Wood serves as board member of Casabi, Cooking.com, Sylantro Systems, Vocera Communications and ZipRealty (ZIPR). Prior to Vanguard Ventures, Mr. Wood was President of Metricom and a member of its Board of Directors, where he led the creation of the wireless Internet service known as Ricochet.
Prior to Metricom, Mr. Wood was with Octel Communications, Inc., worldwide leader in voicemail systems, where he was responsible for marketing, product management and sales engineering. In 1987, he co-founded Wood-Howard Products and licensed his patent for a folding, laminated publishing format to Simon and Schuster, Rand McNally, FastMark and others. Today more than 100 million products have been sold under these licenses.
Earlier, he was Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing with International Power Technology, supplier of micro-turbine, co-generation power systems, and was a management consultant with McKinsey and Company. Mr. Wood also worked in the policy-planning department of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C. Mr. Wood earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Stanford University, and a Master in Business Administration degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
