A: Entrepreneurs Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) not for profit organization that works with emerging companies to facilitate and enable the development and implementation of community benefit and philanthropic programs.
A: Entrepreneurs Foundation's mission is to engage high growth companies in corporate citizenship and philanthropic efforts so that new and leveraged resources are generated for community benefit.
A: Both private and public companies can join Entrepreneurs Foundation. Private companies join with an equity contribution. Public companies join with a cash contribution.
A: Each company signs up with Entrepreneurs Foundation through a donation of equity, Entrepreneurs Foundation asks companies to donate the same amount of stock that they would give to a director or senior engineer within the company. Director level grants include the opportunity for companies to allocate a portion of the equity for the creation of a corporate advised philanthropic fund. Both level equity grants enable companies to partner with for the development of customized CCI programs.
A: Corporate-advised-funds are hosted and managed through community foundations. One benefit of a CAF is that companies do not have to give away the proceeds right away; rather they can set up their own schedule on when and who to give the money to. Another benefit is that community foundations provide back office support and philanthropic consultation. Companies that join EF with a director level equity grant have the option to create a CAF upon liquidity.
A: Entrepreneurs Foundation meets with company employees and conducts an employee survey on current attitudes towards community involvement. After the survey results have been tallied, Entrepreneurs Foundation develops a working agreement including recommendations for initiating the company's corporate community involvement program and building relationships with community partners. EF helps with planning and implementation of customized CCI programs.
A: Entrepreneurs Foundation CCI programs include Corporate Giving, Corporate Infrastructure, Community Education, Employee Volunteerism, Business Practices and Employee Giving.
A: Joining Entrepreneurs Foundation gives companies a chance to give back to the community while also enhancing the company’s team building, recruiting, retention, morale and employee satisfaction through a customized corporate community involvement program. In fact in a recent survey of a sample of Entrepreneurs Foundation companies, 97% of the employees surveyed said they were proud of their company’s efforts in the community.
A: Entrepreneurs Foundation has had over 135 companies join since its inception in 1998. Close to 400 have joined EF worldwide.
