San Francisco-based DemandBase launched their CI program with a holiday activity, Raphael House’s 2011 Adopt-A-Family drive. Employees purchased gifts for two families and brought them to the office. After a fun gift wrapping and wine tasting party, a few from the group delivered the gifts for the families to the Raphael House facility on Sutter Street in SF. They were greeted enthusiastically by Preeti Makwana, Raphael House’s Academic Enrichment Program Coordinator, who was busy receiving gifts from various donors for the families they serve in the program. Stacks were piling up high in the entryway, and as the DemandBase employees walked back to the car, they felt privileged to experience that great feeling of giving – and that’s what this season is all about!
They all feel great to know they made this holiday a little more special for those families, and they are looking forward to their next activity, serving a meal at Glide later this month.
